For booking enquiries please telephone: 01636 703685 The Community Centre is a purpose built facility of modern design and predominantly serves the Bridge Ward of Newark. The facilities, which have recently been upgraded to enable access for all, comprise a wooden floor main hall (see picture below) with basic stage facilities, a kitchen with coffee lounge area and an office which is used for Computer Training courses with Newark and Sherwood College. Regular users of the Centre are the Monday night Bingo Club ( a mainstay of the social events at the centre), Drama Club and Dancing Clubs, as well as a range of bookings through Social Services, Primary Care Trust and individual users. An interesting and unusual feature about the building is that it also has a purpose built Church, St Leonard's, occupying a designated area within the Centre but sharing the Main Hall by using soundproofed room dividers than can be drawn back for larger congregations and celebrations.
