BANK HOLIDAY BIN COLLECTION CHANGES

All waste collections, whether for normal or recycling waste, will no longer be carried out on a bank holiday Monday.

Instead we will collect on the Saturday before. The first change will be for this Easter Monday’s collection, which will be on Saturday April 3, 2010. The same change will occur at the May Day, Spring and Summer bank holidays when the council will be collecting on the following Saturdays: May 1, May 29 and August 28.

Collections will be held as normal on Good Friday. Residents are asked to ensure their bins are presented ready for collection before 6am on collection day, and especially on these Saturdays, as there is a possibility the collection crew will be earlier than normal.
