GIVE YOUR KIDS A SPORTY SUMMER
Published:Wednesday 21 July 2010Newark and Sherwood District Council is again providing a whole host of activities this summer to give children a ‘sporting’ chance. Following the success of past holiday programmes at Lincoln Road Sports Pavilion in Newark, the district council’s Sports Development team is working in partnership with Newark and Sherwood Homes and the Everyday Champions Centre to deliver a multi-sports holiday programme during the summer. Trained sports coaches will provide coached sports sessions in mini soccer, Kwik Cricket, rounders, multi-skills and much more. Sessions are free and will be run every Tuesday between July 27 and August 31, 1.30pm to 3.30pm. Working in partnership with Lowdham Parish Council, a programme of sports coaching offering similar activities to the Newark sessions will be held at the multi-use games area on Southwell Road, Lowdham, every Tuesday and Thursday from July 27 to August 26, 10am to noon. Sessions at Lowdham cost £2.50 per child. All the above activities are for children aged 5-11-years-old. Advanced booking is preferable but not essential. To book places on either course or if you have any enquiries, call Rachel Kemp in the council’s Sports Development team on 01636 655701 or email rachel.kemp@nsdc.info | ||
